Stone Shop Finisher/Polisher - 1st Shift

Polishers are responsible for performing finishing work of all stone products using water-fed tools. This includes polishing the surface to the proper finish, blending seams, chip repair, touchup work on profiles, and easing profile edges. Materials include Granite, Marble, Quartz, other natural stone products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Use an angle grinder, saws, and other hand tools to complete the finishing work on a countertop and related products including touchup work on lines left by machines, blending seams, touchup work on profiles, and easing profile edges.

Required Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail; Solid work ethic, Pride in producing quality work; Regular and Reliable Job Attendance; Ability to accurately measure products;  Read and interpret shop drawings; Basic reading, writing, and math skills; ability to lift 100+ pounds on a regular basis primarily utilizing team-lift procedures; Stand for duration of the shift. Experience in any building/craft work, use of hand tools, labor position, etc. strongly preferred.

Schedule: 1st Shift (5:00 am - 3:30 pm)

Ten (10) hour workdays Monday through Thursday of each week. Overtime/potential Friday work as needed.
