Forklift Operator/Material Handler
Responsible for operating the forklift to move stone slabs for inventory/photos, staging, and customer viewings. Part of a two-person team where the other person guides slabs as moving, places and removes clamps from slab.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move stone slabs.
- Assist in paperwork relating to staging for production and inventory purposes.
- Assist in taking photos of stone material for inventory purposes.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisors or Management.
Skills / Requirements:
- Forklift Experience Required.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively.
- Dependable and reliable, maintain a reasonable attendance record, and on occasion work flexible hours and overtime if needed.
- Must be able to frequently navigate the forklift in the shop around potential obstacles and outside in all weather conditions.
- Physical requirements include the ability to walk and stand for the majority of a shift, both inside and outside, in all weather conditions; the ability to pull heavy stone slabs forward to apply a clamp; and the ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
- Ability to navigate company software program for simple data-entry activities.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems that arise to ensure a satisfactory outcome.
- Ability to read/comprehend and write simple instructions and short correspondences
- Ability to Problem Solve.
- Maintain knowledge of job materials and supplies, including proper uses and applications.
- Correctly use PPE as needed, including but not limited to safety glasses and steel-toe footwear.
- Keep the work area clean and well organized.
- Other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM (overtime as needed).

- Starting Wage: $21.00
