Stone Shop Fabricators are responsible for operating production machines, hand-building, and polishing/finishing countertops and other surfacing items.

Innovative Surfaces is a custom countertop fabricator looking for dependable and quality-driven individuals to join our team! Multiple positions available, opportunities for advancement!

The Details:
We are looking for Polishers, Builders, and Machine Operators for the 1st shift and 2nd shift. Starting wage depends on the position and your experience level, $20 per hour.

  • Polishers are responsible for finishing work of all stone products, including polishing and chip repair. Materials include Granite, Marble, Quartz, and other natural stone products. Responsibilities include: Blending seams, touchup work on profiles, and easing profile edges using water-fed hand tools.

  • Builders are responsible for the hand-building of countertops including customization of buildup strips, miter folds, glue, and color matching. Materials include Solid Surface Materials such as Corian. Responsibilities include: Read and interpret plans/prints to produce countertops within tolerances and specifications; table saw, power saw, miter saw, routers, and hand tools of assorted sizes; use glues and caulks to join seams and parts.

  • Machine Operators are responsible for operating machines used in the fabrication of quartz and natural stone countertops (Bridge saw, CNC saw, Waterjet, CNC Router). Responsibilities include: Set up, adjust, operate, and load & unload machines in a safe and efficient manner; monitor and maintain machine to ensure it is operating properly; perform visual inspections of equipment with complex parts; inspect each item before and after machining to ensure quality and specifications; communicate and document material defects, quality issues, job completion, etc.; perform routine maintenance on your machine as needed.

Qualifications/Skills Requirements: Basic reading, writing, and math skills; Read and interpret shop drawings, ability to accurately measure products to 1/16th of an inch, Lift 100+ pounds on a regular basis primarily utilizing team-lift procedures; stand for the duration of the shift.

Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM until 3:30 PM.
  • 2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM until 12:30 AM.

Overtime is required for both shifts as needed to meet production deadlines, which may include Friday/Saturday work.
